Rescue Me ID: 18-01-22-00075Shuster (male)

Rottweiler    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet a very happy and playful Rottweiler that loves to have fun! This is Shuster, he is 1 %BD%BD years old and a total sweetheart. Shuster currently weights 77 lbs and has a little bit more of growing to do. He has a lot of puppy in him and has a great temperament. When I rescued him there was a dog really trying to get at him but Shuster kept wagging his tail and trying to play with the dog. Shuster gets along with other dogs and pays no attention to cats. He is also very gentle. He is crate trained and house trained but we are working on the house training more. He does not have any accidents in the house but he wears a belly ... (Read More)band to correct his leg lifting. Shuster was just neuter and when a male dog is neuter it takes away their desire to lift their legs unless they are outside. So we are diligently working on this so that Shuster will make an ideal pet/companion and family member with no faults. We do not have a shelter; all of our dogs are fostered in private home so we try to train them in all areas while they are in our homes. It would be ideal if anyone who is interested in adopting Shuster has experience with Rottweilers. Rottweilers are very smart and loyal but they are also very strong. I'd like to get Shuster into a home where he can maintain his playful puppy attitude and continue to just love everyone. We are able to transport across the country to a great and loving home. I can provide more pictures and working on getting a video of him. Please email me at roxysrescue@yahoo.com to request more pictures. Thank you. Rescue Me ID: 18-01-06-00048Scooter (male)

Border Collie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Scooter is a 3.5 year old Border Collie, weighing 45 lbs. He has reached his adult weight and height. This guy has my respect. I pulled him from a high kill shelter in San Antonio, Texas when he was almost 3 months old. He was very emaciated and his rear leg had with a bone sticking out and broken in several places. Someone had abused him. But Scooter was still happy and loved to be held and his sprits had not been broken. He has been a trooper from day one, never making a sound even though he was in a lot of pain. Even though his leg was so bad; the vet considered amputation but decided to watch the bones heal. They leg healed ... (Read More)but he has a limp that doesn't stop him from running and jumping. His room is upstairs and he bounces up the stairs all the time. And he loves for me to play chase with him in the backyard. His complete medical records and x-rays will come with him at the time of adoption. Someone else named him early on but his name Scooter so deserves, he is a SCOOTER. He only barks when he is talking to you or to alert me that someone is near our gate in the backyard. He bounces around still like a puppy and just a very happy guy. He gets along with everyone. Scooter will let a dog cuddle with him, eat out of his bowl and share his toys. To sum Scooter up, he is just a fun loving guys who smiles all the time and gives you love every day. You cannot help but smile back at him and laugh because he sits there with a goofy grin on his face looking at you until you do smile and tell him something good. This is the type of dog that you want to come home to, he is a best friend best buddy pal for sure. He has a beautiful black wavy coat and he does not tend to shed with regular baths, he will sit still for a bath, then he goes and takes a long nap. There is nothing better to Scooter than having his head scratched and getting some attention from him human. And a rawhide, he chews on them and plays with them! He is not demanding and very low maintenance. He eats regular dry food but he watches to see if you might share your food with him!!!! While he has been in my care, he has helped heal the soul of other rescue dogs brought into my home that didn't have the best start in life. Scooter just seems to know what is going on. His best friend was another bigger white border collie who only has 3 legs. Bradley was hit by a car. Scooter instantly took to him and became his hearing dog and totally took care of Bradley. Sadly Bradley got adopted and Scooter has been searching for another best buddy. I CAN PROVIDE MORE PICTURES, JUST EMAIL ME AT roxysrecue@yahoo.com ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED. Rescue Me ID: 18-01-06-00047Kaily (female)

Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Kaily is a 3 year old Labrador Retriever mix with a bronzy brown coat with black going doing the middle. She weighs about 50 lbs but she could stand to lose a few of those pounds. I'm sure with regular walks she would probably lose 10 pounds easily. Kaily loves going on walks, now that is when you see her face light up with a smile, I believe she thinks it is an adventure!! She also does well on car rides. When I met Kaily, she was very pregnant and had chewed off the rope tied to a huge black studded collar; indicating she had been tied up outside. Within a week Kaily gave birth to 9 beautiful puppies. All of her puppies came out ... (Read More)looking exactly like Labs and they loved water. Now that she knows she is safe and not chained up, she is the perfect little lady. She requires very little maintenance and just wants to be loved. Kaily has a great personalities, she is very quiet, friendly and gets along with all humans and dogs. Actually her entire litter of puppies were all very quiet, quiet when they played, ate, wrestled, they were just a very calm, chill bunch. Kaily is a typical rescue dog, a dog that is extremely grateful and will do anything to please you. Most rescue dogs show their appreciation at being saved by giving you lots of love and behaving themselves perfectly in your home. The dogs know you have saved them and Kaily is no exception, Kaily does not get upset, nor is she destructive. She will sleep in her crate but she is fine just sleeping on her doggy bed in any room. If she needs to go potty she will come and get you. She will play with toys but she would rather have some ear scratches and love from her human and cuddle besides you. Actually Kaily craves human attention, she doesn't bother you or do excessive kissing, she just looks at you longingly with those eyes begging you to say hello or give her a head scratch. She is not a shadow dog, very independent but she keeps an eye on you to make sure you are still there. Her solemn look turns into a smile while she is following you around and she is just close to you, all she wants is to share her love. Kaily is a great, very calm, well behaved young lady and will make a great family pet, very low maintenance. She has 1 male playmate that she is very fond of but she is in a home with a variety of foster brothers and sisters. She gets along with small and big dogs, her first roommate upon arriving here was a 4 pound Maltese and he made sure she knew who was boss!! Kaily has a mild demeanor; not aggressive in any area and likes to get out for walks but not demanding of them. Nor does her behavior require that she be walked on a daily basis. Kaily's coat looks a lot better now than when she was first rescued. Please email me at roxysrescue@yahoo.com and I can provide more pictures. Please consider giving Kaily her chance at a forever home. Rescue Me ID: 18-01-05-00323Freckles (female)

Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Freckles was born in my home on February 11, 2013 after rescuing her very pregnant mother who had been dumped in a local park here in San Antonio, Texas. I named her Freckles because her front paws are marked with what looks like Freckles. There were more of them across her body when she was a baby but she still has them on her front legs. She is a 30 pound Labrador Retriever/Beagle Blend. She has reached her adult height and weight. She was adopted out to a single lady as a puppy and returned to me 1 month ago at no fault of her own. Her previous owner changed her lifestyle that did not include dogs. She is a mildly active dog ... (Read More)but not destructive, she does not bother anything in the house that is not her toys. Her ideal home would be with someone who could walk her on a regular basis or someone who wants a running buddy. Even though she is almost 5 years old, she still plays with toys and other dogs like a puppy. Freckles really appreciates a human that loves her, she is very devoted and will give you love daily Freckles is not one of those dogs that kisses you all the time but she'll reward you for a head scratch if you ask her for a kiss. She has pretty shiny brown nails that look as if they were painted. She rides well in a car, walks great on a leash. She sleeps in a doggy bed in a crate with the door open. She does not need a crate and you can completely trust her in your home alone. She will just patiently wait for your return. Freckles is friends to everyone, kids, senior citizens, cats and all dogs, she has no fear of any humans and she like to say hello to your company. Really Freckles would be a great FIRST pet for a family who has never owned a dog, she is very low maintenance. She is well behaved and would make a great family pet. Freckles would love to have another home that truly means a forever home. I still have her baby pictures and would love to share them with the family who would consider making Freckles part of their family. Freckles is up to date on her vaccinations, rabies, she has been dewormed and she is Heartworm NEGATIVE! She will not need to see a vet until 2019, she is in great health. Her medical records will come with her at the time of adoption. (Less)
